Frequently asked questions.
Do you grow everything yourself?
I currently have over a dozen different herbs that I grow myself and will be adding more each year. I source what I can’t or haven’t grown from reputable companies or forage locally.
Are all of your products organic?
While I do not use any pesticides on my homegrown herbs, organic certification is a lengthy and expensive process that isn’t feasible for such a small business. The herbs that I do not grow are sourced from reputable companies and the majority of them are organic or wild crafted. Quality is very important to me, and I will always choose the best option available when purchasing supplies.
Where do you source your tea from?
I have a wholesale account with a company based in Indiana. The owner has been in the tea business for 45+ years and has traveled the world to find the best teas.
How long have you been blending teas?
Probably about 4 years for personal use. October 2024 is when I decided I wanted to do more with my tea. I went on an anniversary trip to the Mohicans, and a tea shop we visited there really sparked my interest in having my own business doing something I love.
What is your favorite blend?
Open Air Respiratory Support. Not only is this effective at loosening chest congestion, it has a delicious flavor. The licorice root in this blend makes it naturally sweet. The thyme is homegrown and is a mixture of lemon thyme and rose thyme. It has a much brighter taste than traditional thyme. Open Air in my opinion is a perfectly balanced blend.
What is your favorite herb?
I would have to say chamomile. It is so versatile. It’s good for digestion, relaxation, mood, sleep, and inflammation. It has a soothing taste and aroma which reminds me of apples and honey. And it’s safe for kids.
Do you only do business online?
I will be going to local vendor events and hope to get involved with the farmer’s market next year. I would like to have some day have a brick-and-mortar shop.
